The hall takes daylight from the same window, all day. A plan drawing, not a photograph. Light direction changes through the day, so the reach across the floor changes with it.

What we make

Every opening is different, so nothing is off a shelf. Frames are made to your measured opening in slim steel, glazed to suit the room, and finished in the colour you choose.

Hinged doors

Single and double leaves, arched and curved heads, pantry doors and classic putty glazing. The one most people picture when they picture a steel door, and the one that has to close sweetly for the next twenty years.

Sliding doors

Wall mounted and recessed flush systems, pocket doors, doubles and stacking sliders. Where a swing would eat the room, the leaf runs along the wall and the opening stays a full width of glass.

XL pivot doors

A tall leaf turning on a pivot rather than hanging off hinges, so the door can be far bigger than a hinge would carry. It is the piece people stop and touch.

Walls and room dividers

A full run of framed glass with fixed sidelights and top lights, holding the line where a stud wall used to. You keep the separate room, the noise stays where it belongs, and the daylight does not stop at the doorway.

  • Finishes Black is where most people start. Frames are also finished in brass, as below.
  • Glazing Clear, obscured, fluted and tinted, chosen panel by panel.

Brass, and everything after black

The frame is a line drawn across the room, so its colour decides how loud that line is. Brass warms a room that black would cool. Pick the finish against your floor and your ironmongery, not against a catalogue.

Offices, studios and fit-outs

We supply and install demountable glazed partitions and doors, acoustic stud walls and fire doors, and we look after them afterwards. A partition that can be taken down and moved is a partition your next tenancy can live with.

  • System 20 A single glazed partition system. Minimal head and base channels and discreet glass to glass joints create the illusion of endless areas of glass.
  • System 68 A 68mm wide double glazed framework with an acoustic performance of 46dB Rw, for executive offices where a closed door has to mean something.

Measured before anything is made

Steel has no give in it once it is cut, so the opening decides everything that follows. We use digital measuring instruments to record it before a frame is made, and we design, supply and install nationwide.

Design, supply and install, nationwide

We have worked alongside designers, architects and developers on projects all over the country, from a single hall door to a full office floor. Bring us a drawing or an opening and we will tell you what can be made for it.

  • Survey Digital measuring instruments record the opening, before a frame is cut.
  • Make Frame and glazing made to that opening, in the finish you choose.
  • Install Fitted on site, anywhere in the country.
  • After Standard sliding door systems typically carry a two year warranty on materials and moving parts.
